Performance Management in HEI-Spain

The last RISE training workshop on “Performance Management in HEIs: Performance Appraisals & Reward Schemes” has been organised by Agora Institute in Alicante, Spain on 13-14 September 2018.
 
The workshop was delivered by Agora Institute experts . The purpose of the present training workshop was to tackle a wide range of aspects in connection with both strategic and practical needs of performance management (and particularly, performance appraisals and reward schemes) in HEIs. In particular, RISE training event contributed:
 
To develop a general understanding of the performance management at the university context and to explore its key aspects. 
To share and Compare  different models  of performance Management in EU Higher education;
To Support Rise trainees in developing a performance framework in their institutions.
 
The event was opened by Proof Walid Salameh, coordinator of the RISE project, who thanked Agora Institute for hosting the workshop, welcomed attendees and presented the agenda for the two following days.
 
After a theoretical session on “Performance Management” (and performance appraisals) at HEIs, Case Studies from EU HEIs on performance management and HR strategic plans were presented and widely discussed in addition to "Best practices & examples on Performance appraisals and reward systems in EU HEIs". Finally, performance framework design exercise were undertaken with the participation of all attendees.
 
The training workshop has been attended by up to 34 representatives of the RISE project from Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Slovakia.
